Unveiling Creativity: Design Shine at UMLAUF with AIA Austin

In the heart of Austin, Texas, where creativity thrives and innovation blooms, the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum stands as a beacon for artistic expression. Collaborating with AIA Austin, the museum proudly presents its annual exhibition: Design Shine. This showcase celebrates the convergence of architecture and design, spotlighting emerging talents and their visionary creations.


This year's competition attracted a myriad of exceptional proposals, each brimming with unique perspectives and creative brilliance. Amongst the pool of impressive submissions, three standout projects emerged victorious, representing the best of local talent and the spirit of collaboration. The winning installations include:

To further explore the creative process behind Design Shine, the UMLAUF is hosting a panel discussion on February 21st, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM. This event offers an opportunity to gain insights from the participating teams, delving into the inspirations, challenges, and triumphs that shaped their creations. Whether you're an aspiring designer, a seasoned architect, or simply an art enthusiast, this panel promises to ignite your imagination and ignite meaningful conversations.
