Dive deeper into the life and work of Charles Umlauf with a docent-led tour of the museum and garden!
The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum uses its collection of more than 200 sculptures, paintings, and drawings by 20th century American sculptor Charles Umlauf as a teaching tool to encourage the understanding and appreciation of sculpture. We offer many opportunities for all to enjoy the plentiful riches in the Garden.
Admission to the UMLAUF includes a self-guided sculpture tour, and docent-led tours take place the third Saturday of every month.
Childcare groups with 8 or more children under 12 must contact the UMLAUF for advance admission prior to your visit. There is a Group Fee of $1/child and $7/chaperone.

Upcoming Docent-led tour:
The UMLAUF provides guided tours to public, private, and independent schools, serving 4,000 AISD students annually. We also provide free tours and admission to all Austin public school groups, as well as transportation assistance through bus reimbursements to Austin Independent School District. School groups located outside AISD may inquire for information regarding admission fee waivers. Please schedule your tour at least three weeks in advance.
The UMLAUF provides private docent guided tours to groups of 25 or less. Perfect for social or corporate groups, tours consist of a docent guided walk through the collection followed by unstructured time in the gardens. Please schedule your tour at least three weeks in advance.
Thanks to a conservation process that involves regular washing and waxing, the UMLAUF houses the largest collection of touchable bronze sculptures in Texas. Our Touch Tours offer unique opportunities for the visually impaired and other kinesthetic learners to formally engage with the subject matter and materials employed by Charles Umlauf.
The UMLAUF orientation video is available with captions for the hearing impaired.
The UMLAUF provides sculpture guides and docent-led tours for Spanish-speaking visitors.
