Celebrate the life of the departed in the peaceful tranquility of the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum. With five acres of bronze and stone sculptures, meditative winding pathways, tranquil ponds, and a gently babbling brook, the UMLAUF is a hidden refuge in the heart of Austin. Come together and share memories in this serene and natural setting, located minutes from downtown, while supporting this beloved institution dedicated to art in nature for nearly 25 years.


UMLAUF can accommodate a varying range of guests depending on your event needs, from 20 to 600 guests while maintaining the same intimacy. The Museum & Garden has many unique options for hosting your remembrance ceremony. We are honored to be a part of celebrating the life of those who have passed on.

Monday Daytime

UMLAUF is closed to the public on Monday. Please inquire about daytime rates and availability. 

Rental Time Frame

The rental includes the hours listed above. The listed times include set-up, event and clean-up. Inquire for a detailed timeline. Due to museum hours, the event must conclude and be cleaned up by 12:00pm on the weekend (or 10:00 am on the weekday), however, guests are encouraged to spend time in the Garden to reflect after that time.

Planning Services

The Museum does not provide planning, set-up or teardown services. Although not necessary, guests may choose to work with a planner or family and friends to assist with set-up and clean-up.

Preferred Vendors

The UMLAUF provides a curated list of preferred vendors. These vendors have experience at the UMLAUF and include caterers, rental companies, florists, music and valet services. The only exclusive vendors are our tent and tree lighting providers. Please inquire for the complete preferred vendors and tent vendors list.



Rental rates include UMLAUF staffing for each event. A security guard will assist guests from the overflow parking lot to the Museum and ensure the event is safe, seamless and secure. An UMLAUF on-duty venue manager will orient guests and vendors, as well as assist with maintaining the Museum, Garden and artwork. Events with more than 250 guests may require additional staffing at $250 per staff member.



To complete the contract process, a refundable deposit of $500 is due at the time of contract signing. The deposit is in addition to the rental rate and is refunded 30-45 days after the event, less any damages, extra staffing, or cleanup fees. The full rental fee is due 14 days prior to the event. All transactions may be made via check or credit card. 

Art & Exhibits

The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum has rotating exhibits that are subject to change without notification. Art and exhibits cannot be moved, removed, covered, altered or added to for any events. The indoor Gallery is not included as a part of the event rental and will remain locked during the event.
