Proceeds from Garden Party support the UMLAUF’s year-round cultural, educational, and community programs—bringing art and nature to life through youth education, monthly Family Days, UMLAUF After Dark, museum tours, public lectures, exhibitions, and outreach programs like our partnership with the Texas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired. Your support ensures the UMLAUF remains an accessible welcoming oasis where art, nature, and community come together for all.

The UMLAUF is delighted to welcome Amanda Turner, Chef de Cuisine at Olamaie and celebrated contestant on Top Chef Season 21, as our 2026 Garden Party Guest of Honor. A rising star in the culinary world, Turner has been recognized as a James Beard Award semifinalist for Emerging Chef (2022), a StarChefs Rising Star Chef (2023), and Tastemaker Chef of the Year (2023). Under her visionary leadership, Olamaie proudly became the first restaurant to earn a Michelin star for Southern cuisine.
