About StrawFest
StrawFest is the UMLAUF's beloved annual fall festival, held each October, that has grown from a small seasonal gathering into one of Central Texas's most anticipated family traditions. Admission is entirely free for everyone, ensuring that families across Austin can come together for a full day of pumpkin painting, sculpture-making, costume parades, and live demonstrations from local conservation groups like the Birds of Prey Show and Austin Bat Refuge, regardless of means. The event also partners with local nonprofits including Central Texas Pig Rescue and the Texas Society of Sculptors, extending StrawFest's reach into a broader network of community organizations. For sponsors, StrawFest offers a meaningful opportunity to invest in accessible arts programming and be recognized before a large, engaged, and diverse Austin audience.
