The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum offers a variety of family-friendly programming throughout the year! Admission to the garden is free for children 12 and under, and we offer free Family Days the second Sunday of the month every month. Family Days feature sculpture searches, art-making activities, performances, local vendors, activities and more!
Bronze sculptures have been waxed to allow for light touching, making the UMLAUF an interactive outdoor art experience unmatched in Texas!
Our monthly Family Days are designed for families and friends to explore and create. On the second Sunday of each month, we feature sculpture searches, art-making activities, performances, goods from local vendors, and more! Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
To keep our visitors safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the UMLAUF has temporarily suspended Family Day until further notice
Juneteenth Community Quilt
June 19 | 12pm-4pm
Inspired by the long history of quilting in the Black community, the UMLAUF will be hosting a community quilt craft day June 19 from 12am-4pm, in celebration of Juneteenth. Create your own quilt square to add to the quilt while learning about the history of Juneteenth and Black art in America.

Sculpture Garden Storytime
Sculpture Garden Storytime is a new family program designed to introduce young audiences to the sculpture garden and help them to understand what makes the UMLAUF so special! Join us the third Saturday of every month at 12pm where Docent Frances will read a storybook before a small related exploration activity in the garden. Tours meet at the base of the waterfall, outside the front entrance. Geared towards ages 7 and under, though all are welcome!
Stay tuned for updates on what book we're reading this month.
