The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum offers a variety of family-friendly programming throughout the year! Admission to the garden is free for children 12 and under, and we offer free Family Days the second Sunday of the month every month. Family Days feature sculpture searches, art-making activities, performances, local vendors, activities and more!
Bronze sculptures have been waxed to allow for light touching, making the UMLAUF an interactive outdoor art experience unmatched in Texas!
A month-long webinar series for students exploring sculpture from the ground up! In this afterschool series, classroom pods, homeschoolers, and individual learners will work alongside an UMLAUF Teaching Artist on a monthly theme that integrates traditional 3D art forms with experiments in 21st Century STEAM learning. Along the way, students will also meet Austin-based makers who are specialists within that theme!
Each month comes with a materials supply kit which you can pick up, and two trips to the Supplibrary at UMLAUF to pick up objects that could enhance your project and personally check-in with your Teaching Artist.
Family Day at Home
Our monthly Family Days are designed for families and friends to explore and create. On the second Sunday of each month, we feature sculpture searches, art-making activities, performances, goods from local vendors, and more! Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
In lieu of the UMLAUF's COVID-19 closure, Family Day at Home is a monthly newsletter inspired by the activities and educational atmosphere of Family Day. It is a curated digital program that aims to help children explore the intersection of art, nature, and sculpture while in their own backyard.
Summer Camp offers children from Kindergarten to fifth grade the chance to interact with the Sculpture Garden and art in creative ways through STEAM-style learning. Teaching artists engage students with interactive projects based on art and nature.
