Richard founded Weiss Architecture in 2003 after working at both local and international design firms. He is the lead designer for a diverse group of commercial, workplace, hospitality, academic, and civil buildings.

High school teacher and Philanthropist, Amber – along with her four children – have called Austin home for 23 years. She is passionate about youth programming and keeping art accessible to the Austin community.

Dee Hall joins the UMLAUF Board with a deep appreciation for the intersection of nature and the arts, fueled by a lifelong passion for the Arts. Her professional background is in Clinical Research. and she is most inspired by Austin’s creative community and preserving the legacy of the UMLAUF.

In her 33 years in art consulting, Jennie has forged a reputation for providing an all-encompassing scope of services to address the needs of corporate clients, specializing in creating and placing site-specific artwork.

Laura Esparza is the Executive Director of A3: Art Alliance Austin, the City’s first non-profit Local Art Agency, sustaining Austin’s arts ecosystem through funding and advocacy for Austin’s creative industries.

An Attorney, Stephen has lived in Austin since 1985 and has been active in leadership positions with a variety of non-profits. He is an avid collector of art and good friends and he finds his happy place (when not at the UMLAUF) in the remote mountains of the western US and Canada.

Danika Thomas, founder of Fauve House, a real estate and design practice, and schooled at UT Austin and the Sorbonne in Paris, has over two decades of experience at the intersection of art, architecture, culture and community. She’s the proud mom of Charlie, and loves spending time reading, listening to Podcasts and walking Lady Bird Lake with friends and family.

As an active member of the Austin community, James serves on the board for many organizations including the Trail of Lights Foundation, the Police Activities League of Austin, and the Parkland Events Taskforce.

With a successful career in marketing and engineering in the technology sector, Kirby has imagined and brought to market transformative solutions in video games, consumer electronics, and movie and music streaming, shaping how people experience entertainment and technology worldwide.

Molyan Dery

Molyan Dery, a native of El Paso, Texas, attended the University of Texas at Austin before earning a master’s degree in anesthesia from Duke University. She was married at the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum in 2013, a place that remains deeply meaningful to her. Now channeling her clinical precision into a creative pursuit, she is the founder of Molyan—an apparel brand grounded in craftsmanship, individuality, and thoughtful design. She is honored to serve on the UMLAUF board, supporting and advancing the arts in Austin.

Sally Whitman Coleman

Sally Whitman Coleman, PhD is an art historian and personal property appraiser. She has been teaching art history at universities in central Texas for 30 years, and has owned a fine art appraisal business since 2014.
