With careful consideration, and safeguards to protect our visitors, the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum has determined that it's safe to reopen our doors to Members only on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and to the public on Saturday, June 6 with a limit of 30 visitors in the garden at a time.  Following the health and safety guidelines from state and local officials, we have put into place necessary safeguards and limits to ensure that both visitors and staff are as protected as possible during this time.

We are excited to invite the community back to the UMLAUF while maintaining high safety standards. We want to welcome our visitors while ensuring a fun and safe experience for all. For those who are unable to visit us at this time, we hope you will explore the many Virtual Programs available on our website and social media platforms.

What is opening and when?

  • Beginning on June 2, 2020 the UMLAUF will reopen to MEMBERS ONLY and will limit visitors to 30 at a time to ensure adequate room for people to social distance while enjoying the garden. Members always receive free admission to the Museum.

  • The Museum will reopen to the public on Saturday, June 6, 2020, from 11-4.

  • Only the Museum’s Sculpture Garden will be open at this time. The indoor gallery will remain closed.

  • Summer Camp will continue as scheduled with limited capacity and strict guidelines to ensure the safety of all.

Safety Measures:

  • To allow for proper social distancing, we will limit visitors to 30 at a time.

  • There will be a one-way marked path through the Garden.

  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces will occur throughout the day for all public spaces: front desk, restrooms, doors, etc. Restrooms will be open by request only and sanitized hourly.

  • Employees will follow all CDC and State recommendations for monitoring the health and safety of our staff, such as daily temperature checks, face coverings, frequent hand sanitizing, social distancing, and other protective measures.

  • Visual cues to maintain recommended 6 ft. social distancing will be implemented.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Museum and Garden as soon as you feel comfortable. Thank you for your continued support of the UMLAUF during this time!
