Standing Bather I
Originally done in stoneware for Umlauf's first major one-man exhibitions in 1959. More than 100 Umlauf pieces were displayed at the Valley House Gallery in Dallas. The majority were done in stoneware and at least half were executed in 1957-58. Nearly two dozen of these exhibition pieces are represented in the Garden and Museum. Cast in bronze in 1969.
