Learn more about the facilities available, rates and how to reserve the gardens for your next private special event.

Thank you for considering The Umlauf as the site of your celebration, day-time meeting or fundraiser! Listed below are rates that apply to Private Events only. Corporate Event and Non-Profit Event and Memorial rates are also available. For more information, please contact Jessica Burford at 512 445 5582, x100 or facilityrental@umlaufsculpture.org.

The Umlauf is available for events every evening of the week, Saturday and Sunday mornings, and during working hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Umlauf is NOT available for events during our public museum hours.

Event Package A includes:

Use of facility for 7 consecutive hours (including set-up and clean-up), from 4 pm until 11 pm

  • Exclusive use of Garden, Terrace, Crenshaw Building, and commercial kitchen
  • Cost of event liability insurance ($1,000,000 coverage per event)
  • Umlauf representative on site
  • Use of five 6' banquet tables
  • Use of one 8' banquet table
  • Use of five 60" round tables

Scheduled outside of event time:

  • 1 hour rehearsal
  • 1 hour photography session

Event Package B includes:

Use of facility for 4 consecutive hours (including set-up and clean-up) with the same provisions as listed for Package A

Additional hours are available for purchase to occur within the 4 pm - 11 pm timeframe

Event Package C includes:

Saturday or Sunday Use of facility for 2-hour ceremony only, from 10 am until 12 noon (including set-up and clean-up)
  • No food or beverages
  • No rentals
  • Photography session not included

For All Private Event Packages:

Rental/Cleaning Deposit: $500 (held separately of other costs and returned after event)
APD Security Fee: $45/hour (4 hour minimum)
Please note: A 3% surcharge will be added to all payments made by credit card. Cash & checks are preferred.

* The Renter will be given a grace period of seven (7) days from receipt of Rental/Cleaning Deposit to cancel the event without penalty.
* Payment of the Facility Use Fee is due in-full ninety (90) days from the scheduled event. If cancellation occurs fewer than ninety (90) days prior to the event, the renter forfeits the deposit plus half of the Facility Use Fee.
* If the Renter cancels on or after thirty (30) days prior to the event, the Renter forfeits all fees received by The Umlauf.
* In the event that The Umlauf must cancel due to non-payment by the Renter, the Renter will forfeit all fees received by The Umlauf up to that point.
